Anesthesiology
The expertise of the River Parishes Hospital Department of Anesthesiology is well recognized. Our physicians are either board-certified or board-eligible and have completed extensive training in their specialty and subspecialty areas. The team provides a wide range of anesthesia services from basic inpatient and outpatient services, to the subspecialties of cardiac, obstetrical, ambulatory (outpatient) and neurosurgical anesthesia, in addition to acute and chronic pain management. The Critical Care Division of the Department of Anesthesiology contributes to the overall continuity of care for patients who require the expertise of the intensivist.

Pathology
The Department of Pathology offers a full range of diagnostic services in anatomic pathology that includes surgical pathology, autopsy pathology, cytology, cytogenetics, flow cytometry and immunohistochemistry. In areas of surgical pathology, gastrointestinal pathology and renal pathology are two of the busiest subspecialties, both for inpatient and external consulting work. Pathologists at River Parishes Hospital have been at the forefront in the diagnosis and analysis of developmental abnormalities.
Physical Therapy
River Parishes Hospital Department of Physical Therapy is dedicated to improving our patients' quality of life by promoting and facilitating optimal health and human function. Our physical therapy staff provides patients with comprehensive evaluations, one-to-one education and functional training.
