River Parishes Hospital now offers a new program to help local business and industries with their many employee heath needs, especially controlling costs associated with workers’ compensation. This is a unique, comprehensive occupational health and wellness program is called Wellness Works of River Parishes Hospital.
Wellness Works is guided by a physician panel and other healthcare professionals who are dedicated to helping the local workforce become healthier and more productive in the workplace. There is no cost associated with enrolling in the Wellness Works Program, and a corporate health consultant works with employers to customize the program to meet their specific needs.
This five-point program covers:
- Injury Prevention
- Injury Intervention
- Provider Orientation
- Wellness / Health Promotion
- Service Coordination
A team of healthcare professionals works with employers to coordinate their pre-hire physical components and establish cost-effective and efficient return-to-work strategies to help minimize treatment time and lost work days. Employers are provided with a centralized communication hub within the healthcare system that is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to schedule and track cases, and answer any questions or concerns. Additionally, on-site health events are available to assist employers in educating their employees about health-related topics, including health screenings and health education seminars.
